Thomas Jesse Jones Sr.

Thomas Jesse Jones, Sr. departed this life peacefully surrounded by his loved ones Friday, September 22, 2017 in Greenville, NC.  He was born on December 29, 1931 to the late Robert and Annie Lou (Robinson) Jones in Brooksville, Mississippi.  He leaves behind his devoted wife of 35 years Mary A. Jones, brother, Robert Jones, Jr. (Washington, DC); sisters, Sarah Jones (Memphis, TN); Selanda Sims, Annie Pickett and Mary Walker (Maryland); children, James A. (Genean), Karen Elaine and John C. Jones, Patricia A. Brooks, Natalie and Darrell Highsmith, Bridget H. Freeman (Clinton), Sophia H. Andrews and Tiona M. Williams. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
